Research

Research interests

My research in landscape ecology centers on ecological connectivity and landscape planning. I am currently exploring forest landscape models such as LANDIS-II and complex network approaches to functional connectivity, with the aim of understanding how landscape structure and management shape ecological processes.

Projects

DIVERSE: Adapting forests to lobal Change

I will soon begin a postdoctoral position within the DIVERSE project, where I will model forest management strategies to enhance forest resilience and landscape connectivity.

SYNERGIES -Nordic Forest research

Enhancing the sustainable integration of wood biomass production with other ecosystem services. I worked as a pre doctoral researcher, and my main contribution is summarized in the first publication of my PhD Pineda-Zapata, S., and B. Mola-Yudego. (2025).
